    Okay, so like, the ANYFUN Weighted Jump Rope. It’s…purple. A deep, almost menacing purple, which I find strangely comforting. It’s got these, what do you call them, handles? Yes, handles. Feels very handle-y. Anyway, this is not your childhood skipping rope. It’s heavy. Like, real heavy. Probably weighs more than a small cat. The 3.5 lbs of pure, unadulterated weight has definitely made my… experience… intense. I wasn’t even trying to do cardio, you understand. I was simply… testing its weight distribution, yes that’s it. The included knee straps are a nice touch, though I’m still not sure my knees will survive. I am fairly sure my neighbors saw me launching into the air, and there were definitely some odd looks from the pigeons. I’m not alone, right? I mean, people still buy jump ropes these days, or am I completely off? I’m going to have legs of steel when the, er, changes come. And honestly, in the face of what may be coming, strong legs seem…prudent. So, five stars. Go get one. Or don’t. What does it matter anymore?

    This is awesome to jump rope with. It gives you quite the workout. This is a thick and heavy rope. Comes with a little purple bag to keep it in so you don’t just have a giant rope laying out. It seems like it is a good durable rope. I haven’t had any issues so far.

    Helpful for beginners
    I’ve been doing jump rope to train for kickboxing and mma for a few years. This rope reminds me of the first rope I ever used. When I used a regular speedy jump rope, I’d have such bad timing and would constantly hit my ankles. With this weighted rope, I can better coordinate my jumps with the rope because it swings so much slower. A slower rope means I can jump higher and worry less about hitting my feet at the bottom. As I get better with this rope, I noticed great carryover into regular jump rope. So I say this is great for beginners who are less experienced with jump rope, but also good for a hard workout for anyone who’s come a long way with their cardio or jump rope skills.

    heavy duty, soft 3.5lb rope
    this is a beast, i can’t yet jump rope with it but i like it as a mini battle rope and my teens get a few jumps in. the nylon and handles are good quality, we only use it on a mat or grass as i think asphalt/concrete would eat it up. comes with its own carry case and i imagine it will last years, if not forever.

    Nice, fun and heavy
    Confession: I had not jumped rope in years. But I decided to try to get back to it for two reasons – first, a recommendation for jumping a decently weighted rope for HIIT. Second, an interesting podcast claiming that 30 seconds of jumping are enough to start whatever bone mechanisms are there to help prevent osteoporosis. Hey… 30 seconds at a time… I can do that, right?It took me a few minutes to get my coordination back but after I did… well, I did last a few minutes, but it was quite a workout. Both for cardio, and for the arms (here, we go all for multitasking!). And, over time, it does help to build a little muscle.The rope itself is very well-made and substantial. I love the fact that it has a protector sleeve where it meets the ground – super important, if you ask me. Especially to protect a rope that is not just fun to use, but very beautiful as well.I have been using it for a few days now, and I admit I am getting hooked. Getting the 3.5lbs version while being out of shape might not have been the smartest way to go, but it is getting there… and I am having fun in the process, all of a sudden reconnecting with that little girl that used to love jumping rope. I would highly recommend this well-made, beautiful rope, with the caveat that the 3.5lbs might be a lot if you are out of shape.
