Received complements on this collapsible bottle
While we were going to use it for water on the beach, we ended up using for our pool side drinks and as it got low, we collapsed the bottle, closed the top and continued with activity, and refilled again. Convient, less bulk, bug resistant, and spill proof. However, the downside was it was flimsy and do not maintain the coolness of the beverage. Therefore, whatever was needed to be consumed, needed to be done soon, otherwise enjoy environment temperature. Unique item received many complements. We did fill it before boarding plane also, which was great because we had to stay on the plane extra time and still had beverage with us.

Cheap hook, but great for hikes
Great design. Hard to wash but great for travel or long hikes. Cheap hook (knock-off carabiner) attached and you cant replace it because the hole is so small. Wish it was standard size so I could replace it because that’d be nice!

Current Reviews Fair and Accurate
Reviews of the smell and taste after initially opening the bottle are correct. It feels like it is coated in a powder and even after multiple washes the smell and weird taste still lingers. More washes and drying the bottle helps. Using the bottle helps as well. I also used the filtered water I was going to drink to vigorously rinse/wash the inside of the bottle. Full expanded and trying to rinse all compartments. When I did that, I saw a lot of milkyish residue come out. And the weird taste and smell dramatically reduced. Hoping with prolong usage, that will no longer be an issue. There is no structure to the bottle (as it needs to collapse) so be careful when filling the bottle with water. Takes time to get used to drinking from it with the lack of bottle structure. Easy to collapse/bend with water in it as well. When this occurs, water does spill out. Do not try to change the shape of the bottle with the cap on. Will mis-shapen bottle. Collapsing and expanding bottle should be done with bottle cap open. I really appreciate that it’s light weight and ability to collapse and take up less space when needed. Fits in the bottle holder in my bag and comes with the clip that can be placed on my keychain or pant loop. I’m excited to use it for hiking and traveling.10/2/22 Update: The company reached out and this is what they said. Hope that helps.About Taste or Smell – Our water bottle is made of BPA FREE material, and passed certification of Food and Drug Administration in America. Please do not worry about its safety. If possible, please wash the bottle thoroughly with purified water. The water in the ordinary water pipe generally contains bleach substances or similar disinfection components, due to the particularity of the silica gel material, its molecular structure will adsorb some other substances in the water, which may appear as you see the white powder. The silicone material has very good stability, these white powders are not the material of the water bottle itself, you can rinse it directly, so please don’t worry. Here are some advice to get rid of the silicone smell. Please add some dishwashing liquid or lemon slice in BOILED WATER, immerse the whole bottle and its cap in the water for 2 hours, then wash the bottle with clean water completely.

Good idea in theory
Edit: after my original review (below) was posted, the seller promptly reached out to offer a full refund. I accepted and received my full refund soon after. This is still a bad product, but the seller gets 5 stars. I would consider purchasing other things from them.Original review: I wanted to love this water bottle but it just wasn’t for me. I got this for my trip to Universal and Disney, thinking it would save space and be convenient for water refills. Folded up, it’s small and convenient, and the carabiner attached nicely to my fanny pack. Unfortunately that’s the only nice thing. Upon receiving, I submerged in boiling water for a few minutes to clean it, as some other reviews suggested. However, the bottle still made the water taste gross. Like I felt like I was just drinking plastic. It was so bad I ended up not using it at all and just used disposable cups instead, which I don’t love for sustainability reasons. Additionally, when the bottle is extended it gets really floppy, and I ended up spilling water everywhere. Overall, I do not recommend. It was essentially useless. Even if it wasn’t floppy, the taste of the water was unbearable. Super disappointing because I loved the concept and really wanted this bottle to work.

Cons: Wobbles comically when full, the mouth is still a bit narrow to clean easily, and the metal clip could be lighter. Making the whole thing a bit wider would help a lot.Pros: Shrinks down a lot, super light, seems totally leakproof (so far!), doesn’t flavour water, wide mouth means you can clean inside.

I need a drink bottle that clips onto my work vest so I can be hands free and not leave anything behind as I move about. This product seemed perfect with a carabiner and soft silicone.SADLY after less than 24 hours use I concluded this will not solve the problem.WHY? Because the *metal* carabiner is connected to a *plastic* anchor/ring. Less than 24 hours use and there is already a stress fracture on the anchor point and a tonne of metal vs plastic friction on the inside of the anchor as well. This is going to break. Not a case of if, but when will it break. Then it becomes useless for my purposes.I would gladly pay up to 30% more for a variation of this product that uses stainless steel for the anchor/ring component at the top. I’m so frustrated by this purchase.

Wonderful bottle! It doesn’t leak if you close it properly and doesn’t smell like silicone if you wash it well first use. I poured dish soap and hot water in it and left it for a while before coming back to rinse it and scrub the upper lip part. Just make sure to wash it every day otherwise it can develop a smell in the upper lip part (as literally every single bottle with plastic/silicone lids do)
