Great presentation of info, very clear and concise
One of the first things that I noticed about this book, that I personally found endearing, was that the illustrations within the first pages show “curvy” women, which I appreciated! It’s a small thing, but made me feel good about this book. I’m not quite 50 yet, but was interested in this book because I’m coming up to 50 in a few years and struggle to stick with a plan. I’ve noticed the composition of my body changing over the years (and not for the better) and it’s been a struggle to lose weight.I appreciated all the tracking sheets provided and, after locating a suitable tape measure, was able to log my starting stats. I jumped into the first workout and also liked how the author included explanations of each exercise so you don’t need to search for the “how – to”. Another thing I enjoyed about this book was the nutrition planning. I liked how the author broke down nutrition guidelines based on your end goal, as well as giving percents on carbs, protein, and fats. I look forward to printing out the pages for documentation, as I am more of a paper/pencil person.All in all, great presentation and info!

Nice basic workout journal
This book is designed to be a workbook to help you meet your fitness and nutritional goals. I like that there are places to include current body measurements and has a chart to see where all the different muscles are located in your body so you can target them. If you are looking for something simple, this could be for you. It’s very easy to follow and if used consistently can be a great tool for healthy habit development. I do feel like it was a little plain, almost like it was developed on a word document. If you are looking for a bells and whistles book, this may not be it. But for simplicity, this is very good and meets the basic points needed to get started on a workout routine.

I use to be a long time gym rat and I haven’t worked out in years. I’m 55 and have been wanting to start working out again but it’s always hard to know where to begin. Especially if you don’t want to hurt yourself because you haven’t been working out for a while. I really enjoyed this book because It had great workouts already put together that were easy to follow, had great explanations on how to perform the exercises correctly And has a tracker for you to track your progress. It’s a great book for women in their 50s to purchase if they want to start exercising and get in shape. I highly recommend it.
