Great bottle for travelling, sports etc.
I used this bottle on a trip to see an event at Boston Garden where the bottles of water were $6. This came in very handy – saved a lot of H20 money as it was a multiple day event. It works as described. Easy to fold and unfold. It didn’t leak even though the bottle was jostled around in my bag. It did not “sweat” though I didn’t use it with ice inside. As others have said, you don’t need to use the rubber straps to keep it compact when folded down. If you fold it down and put the cap on, a suction is created which does the job. The size is great. The quality is good. Yes, there is a strong silicone smell when you first open the bottle. I followed the instructions: boiled matcha tea and left it in the bottle for a couple of hours, and then soaked the entire bottle in boiling water for 5-10 minutes and the smell was gone and stayed gone. The rep for the vendor was quick in getting back to me with questions I had about fumigating the bottle. This will be my go-to bottle for outdoor trips.

So far happy with my purchase.
First time purchasing something like this for travel. It looks sturdy enough, and it’s squareI. Perfect size. I followed the directions for cleaning as it had a funky smell inside. The smell is gone. I like that it folds up compactly.

Compact & Clever: The Collapsible Water Bottles for On-the-Go Hydration
I recently got these collapsible water bottles, and they are quite the travel companions! While they are nice and perfect for on-the-go hydration, they turned out to be a bit smaller than we expected. Think of them as the adorable mini-me versions of your regular water bottles. The best part? They fold up to be super compact when empty, making them easy to stash in your bag or pocket. It’s like having a magic trick up your sleeve—one moment, it’s a full-sized bottle, and the next, it’s a tiny, space-saving wonder. If you’re looking for a convenient and portable water bottle, these are a great choice. Just keep in mind that they might not hold as much water as you hoped. But hey, sometimes good things come in small packages!

Fantastic travel option… unless it leaks.
I purchased a 3-pack of these for my wife, daughter, and I. We travel regularly, and I was tired of wasting carry-on space with giant, solid containers. I was really impressed with the build of the water-bottle itself. The triangle shape remains a bit more rigid than others once filled. It felt like I was actually holding a water bottle, not a water balloon. It collapses easily to an incredibly small size, and it’s really easy to fill with the wide neck. Yes, the water bottles have a bit of an odd smell from manufacturing, but there are simple instructions on how to remove the odor, and after a little vinegar, the smell was much better. This was looking like a really good purchase, but…When I gave these a test, I found two of the three leaked! One leaks from the neck of the lid. It’s a VERY small, slow leak, so it doesn’t make the bottle completely useless. I wouldn’t leave it full and turned sideways in a pack, but it’s still useful for carrying around as long as it remains mostly upright. The other bottle has a pinhole leak in the side of the bottle. As soon as it’s filled a water bead starts forming on the side, and it’s enough to drip every few seconds. This one is absolutely unusable! The third one works flawlessly… it seals well and doesn’t drip at all.So, if you get lucky and get working ones, these water bottles are an essential! But it seems like there are still some consistency issues that need work!

    Collapsible and easy to use.
These were the best item to have going on our cruise. We took it with us when going off of the ship and it held our liquids without spilling.

    Nice and compact water bottle
I bought these to take on a cruise with me. They served their purpose just fine! Holds a decent amount of water or whatever beverage you put in them. The mouth of it is large enough to slip some ice cubes in. Folds down small enough to slip in a pocket. Does not smell like chemicals and does not have your water tasting like plastic. Still recommended to wash it in hot water before using.Cons: Sweats like crazy. Drinks do not stay cool for long, but long enough to enjoy. Ice melts pretty fast too. I suppose that’s because of the material used so that it’ll collapse. So, not too much of a biggie.Bottomline, these are great and I will be taking them on our next vacation!

    Great until it leaks
Bought these in June 2024, April 2025 and there is now a hole that leaks. Was great for travel and a nice design, but the quality must be improved. I will also note that it took multiple months for the water to not taste like rubber.

    Good product.
I like these and they were handy on my recent trip. They collapsed easily and had a rubber strap to keep them in place. They also have a two-piece lid, so you can fill a wide mouth, but drink from a small spout. They each came with an extra strap, as well. They don’t smell weird and the water doesn’t take on any unappealing taste. One small negative point was that they almost have to be cradled when drinking from them, as they don’t hold their shape under the weight of the water. Like I said, a small issue. In any case, it was nice to have them handy to refill, but not to take up a whole lot of room in my bag.

In the past I never thought that collapsible liquid containers bring huge advantage, but they still can be convenient. When filled there are no better than the rigid ones – in fact, they may be a bit harder to handle because the grip on them is not as firm; they still can help reduce the baggage when emptied, and let you have your owner container ready to fill with water when the opportunity arises. The Infitran bottle hasn’t dramatically changed my view on the collapsible containers – but as far as these go, it is one of the best I’ve tried. The material is solid – does not make me worried that it might be damaged in a hiking backpack, unless you pack it up with sharp objects in direct contact. The triangular panes make it really easy to collapse or expand – just make sure the lid is not tight when doing so. An elastic silicone strap – basically a robust rubber-band – keeps the bottle to the minimum size when collapsed, and doubles as a carrying strap when filled. The specs say it can go well below freezing and above boiling points for water (-50℃-200℃) – though I probably wouldn’t carry anything very hot or cold, as it the outside of the bottle would be the same temperature; it is not designed to provide insulation.Elaborate instructions are provided on how to remove “slight natural silicon smell that may exist”; I’m happy to report that I did not have that issue with my bottle – I just washed it lightly using regular dish-washing detergent. The product met my expectations – I can recommend it.

I love the concept of this squishy, compact, silicone water bottle. It arrived fully compacted in a box that was under 3″x3″x3″. I like that you unfold the bottle in satisfying “clicks” as you twist the bottle. I followed the cleaning instructions to first boil the whole thing in a pot of water for a few minutes, then I rinsed it out with colder water until it was comfortable to touch, then I washed it with mild detergent. I put tap water inside the bottle and it tastes no different than tap water from any other plastic bottle. The design incorporates a rubbery carrying strap which doubles as the clasp to keep the bottle tightly closed down when empty. The spout is plastic and clamps onto the neck of the bottle, with a screw-top lid and another screw cap to open and close the top. I got a version with no straw. While I like this better for gulping water, one of the flaws of this design is that the cap unscrews right off and can get lost, there’s no tether or anything to hold it down. I also noticed that, of course, the silicone body of the water bottle flops around, and takes some getting used to.Sadly, one flaw of this design is that water can leak out at the spaces where the silicone bottle meets the plastic ring. In ordinary every day use, you might not find this to be a problem, but this would give me pause before stashing the bottle inside a backpack or bag. I tested by filling the bottle with water and closing the lid shut. Then I squeezed around the bottle to see what would happen. It took quite a bit of jiggling and squeezing and shaking before water started to come out, but it did.A small issue on what is otherwise a very clever little water bottle. I’d keep it in the exterior pockets of my backpack to avoid the possibility of it dribbling onto my belongings accidentally.

We love hiking, camping and well just going on adventures. So we like to keep an eye out for collapsible versions of items that will allow us to pack light but have everything that we may need with us. This water bottle will make a great addition to this gear. Not only is it compact to palm size and will take up next to space in your bag but it is easy to use and when done can be collapsed right back down. Now upon arrival it comes compacted and ready to be stored away, though I would recommend make sure to open it up and give it a quick wash down. These can have a minor smell to them and it is due to being stored away and it being silicone. Once I washed this unit off there were no issues at all. It is easy to open or close just make sure that the lid to drink out of is open and either pull to expand it or push and twist to compact it. And just like that you are ready to use the unit, or pack it away to carry on with your adventure. These will also be great for office use as they take up very little space and can be compacted and stored on your desk overnight keeping your space nice and clean. There are several uses for this bottle. Overall it is a great unit, and comes with a back up elastic incase it is needed.

OverallThe Infitran water bottle offers a unique collapsible design that saves space when empty. It’s made of soft silicone, and while comfortable to hold, it can be awkward to drink from as the bottle loses its shape when the water is low. It doesn’t retain cool temperatures as well as traditional bottles, but it could be a good option for short hikes or situations where space is limited.Packaging and SetupThe Infitran water bottle comes in a compact box with the bottle itself, an extra strap, and instructions for removing any potential initial odour.Performance and ExperienceThe bottle has a soft, silicone feel and folds flat like origami when empty. The included instructions for odour removal are printed in a very small font, making them difficult to read. The faint odour mentioned in the instructions wasn’t noticeable in my bottle, but a simple cleaning with dish soap addressed it completely. The collapsible design allows for compact storage, but it comes at the expense of insulation. Unlike traditional hard plastic or metal bottles, this bottle doesn’t keep water cold for extended periods. Additionally, the soft material can be awkward to hold when filled, especially as the water level goes down and the sides squeeze in.It’s important to note that I’m accustomed to using rigid water bottles, so the feel of this collapsible bottle may take some getting used to.On the positive side, the bottle is leakproof and survived a drop from about 3 feet without any issues. The large-cap can be challenging to open due to the soft body twisting, but the smaller drinking cap is easy to use.ProsThe collapsible design saves space when emptySoft light silicone materialLeakproofDurable (withstood a drop)Easy to cleanConsIt doesn’t retain cold temperatures as well as traditional bottlesIt can be awkward to drink from as the bottle loses shape when filledInstructions for odour removal are difficult to read due to the small font

I could not get rid of the silicone taste. I boiled the bottle, I tried the tea bag, I aired it out for a month. It went into the garbage. Waste of money.
