Extremely Well-Constructed and Easy to Use and Store
These free weight dumbbells are very inexpensive, easy to put together and change the weight, and they are shipped in a heavy-gauge plastic case with a great handle that keeps everything neat and tidy and safe for storage and transport. The locking collars for the weights are heavy and easy to screw onto the handle, and they securely hold the weights in place. I highly recommend this product!

Good value, but a few shortcomings
I shop everything extensively to find the best value, and this is it. Price per pound was better than I could find anywhere (shipped), and it was delivered right to my doorstep (so saved gas and time too, haha). In fact, the value is good enough that I ordered two sets to get the amount of weight I needed since it was better priced than ordering extra plates. However, there are a few issues/areas for improvement:1. The knurling on the handles is *VERY*(!) rough/sharp. I work with my hands a lot and have decent calluses, but these hurt. It could just be the batch/set that I got, but I will either need to wear gloves or file/sand the handle area down to minimize the roughness.2. The case is almost worthless. Not that I would probably use them for anything (taking my weights as carry on luggage on the plane maybe?), but they’re definitely not a selling point.3. The “locking” rubber o-rings are too soft and distort on the inside of the bars and fall out of the threaded collars. I may take one to Ace Hardware or Home Depot to see if I can find a better replacement that is made out of harder rubber.4. This one is really nit-picky, but it’s impossible to get equal weight amounts to what I’m using at the gym. Because the bars are 3lb and the smallest weights are 2.5lb, you can’t get the even 5- or 10lb weight increments like the dumbbells in the rack at the gym. For some exercises, this does make a difference, especially for beginners at lower weight amounts.Overall though I’m pleased with the weights and the value, quality of construction and materials, and ease of use. Eventually I’ll need to order more/larger plates (I’m using all of both sets now), but for now they’re great.

Surprisingly High Quality
Beautiful, high quality set at a reasonable price. Case is plastic and seems like it won’t hold up to a lot of use, but I don’t even need the case. The quality is where it should be. Nice collars with integrated “O” rings spin easily on the bars and securely hold the plates in position without having to tighten them down. I’m buying a cheap 4@$15 set of smaller plates for my wife to use. Not for the muscleman or bodybuilder, but great for an old 72 year old man like me.

Nice inexpensive set small footprint
I was looking for an inexpensive weight set that I wouldn’t feel guilty storing outside as I have limited space. These are perfect. Surprisingly compact with a carrying case that means I may have room to store them inside after all. I like that the weight plates are separate so I can use them separately or on a barbell if I want. I also will probably set up one at 5 pounds and one at 10 so I can use them individually.

Brilliant set of Dumb bells 🙂 if they can be called that! Noiseless due to heavy duty rubber washers on both the handles as well as the tightening spinners. High quality chrome and excellent knurling on the handles. Threading is very deep and precision done. Zero slip when spinners are tightened. The weights have a non-slip baked enamel type sturdy coating which is much better than just chrome. Carry case is sturdy too. Price under 4K is a steal.
