Beautifully designed
Beautifully designed. Love the helpful exercises available before getting started on goal. My favorite part is the daily reflection prompt “What outlandish warnings has my inner critic given today & how did I lovingly raise an eyebrow and move on?”

A promising guide to your goal, in journal form
This seems like a quality journal. I’ll try to remember to update once I have actually used it for a while, but here are my first impressions:The cover is a nice texture. The journal is very thick (288 pages). It comes with a QR code to access a “Goal Mastery Community” for support and accountability. It looks like there is a chunk of pages at the beginning devoted to “setup”: explaining the journal, exploring yourself and your goal, setting milestones, etc. Then comes the middle portion: a two-page spread for each of the 91 days that has a variety of small sections for both morning and evening. A bit surprisingly, while there are understandably repeated sections for every day, there is a section that appears to be entirely unique to each day, as well as an interesting and unique quote. Finally, there’s a portion for reflection, as well as some tear-out “vent” pages, which are probably explained in the beginning of the journal that I haven’t actually read yet.Overall, it looks promising (and they do claim to have a 95% success rate). If I manage to narrow down my goals to only one that I want to devote this journal to, then I can see it helping me to stay on track, better understand the goal itself and why I want to set it, and to better understand myself (as the beginning seems to talk about the goal at least in part as having to do with your desired future self).I am excited to put this to use! If you have a goal you want to achieve, this seems like a promising way to help you get there. Especially if you enjoy writing and self-reflection.

More guided motivational program than journal
I’m a financial journalist, and the central issue that comes up over and over again in the psychology of investing and saving is goal-setting. That is, people who have very clear life goals have a far, far greater chance of achieving financial independence and success. They’re simply less likely to be impulsive with their money because they’re motivated to save for what they really want in life. The bones of the body of literature on this type of motivational psychology are deep in this journal. To that end, it’s more like a self-directed course than a structured journal. There are two main ideas at play here. The first is that if you’re not very clear on what you really want, there’s no point in setting a goal. Studies show, as many of us already know from our experiences, that the reason making resolutions and pledges doesn’t work is because we make them without really understanding why we want to do whatever it is we say we do. Ergo, our motivation flames out. This journal asks you to dig deeply using exercises that are common in motivational and “happiness” psychology and have been shown to work. They’re tough! The second idea at play here is cognitive behavioral therapy—getting you to change your behavior by redirecting your thinking. Again, it’s painful! This journal will help make you work for your goals by helping you understand what they are and what they mean to you. It’s hard work!

Beautiful hard cover bound book, packed with positivity! (but may be overwhelming if you have ADHD)
I was super excited to get this book. I like the clean look of it, and the hard cover, linen like binding did not disappoint. The color (I got Champagne) is very pleasing – although it’s more like a light green color, which I actually prefer over beiges. However, when I opened the book, the pages crackled a bit, so I’m wondering if the pages will fall out over time or with use. Also, as you can see from the photos, the pages are warped – moisture? On to the actual pages of the book. It was overwhelming to my ADHD brain. I had ordered this book hoping that it would help me with goal setting, execution and finishing, as I struggle with these. It’s so overwhelming, I am afraid to start, or maybe I need to set aside a lot of time to figure out how to incorporate the books techniques and format. So for now, I think it will sit on my shelf, sadly. But for someone not bogged down by their neurology, or someone with more motivation than me, this would be a great purchase! Hence I’ve rated it 4 stars, as the book would be great for someone neurotypical/motivated.

A Top Quality, Grace-filled help for Growing Toward a Goal!
This is one quality journal – both in the presentation as well as in the content. Page by page you are walked through a process to identify the goal you want to master and then set up with tools to spur you on and help you achieve it. I am very impressed. I love the quotes scattered throughout.I love that every day you are given a different question to ponder and space to record. It is also very grace filled – for example, after recording your wins, there is space for “what needs love and attention.” rather than focusing on what you need to improve on or change your focus. There is a positive focus. And I smiled the first time I saw instead of writing your top three for the day they are listed as “Today’s stepping stones.” the journey theme really resonates throughout. There is so much good in this journal. Definitely one of the best I’ve seen. There is a QR code that will take you to additional resources. I’m very impressed.
