Casey-Just what I was looking for
Just took this jump rope out of the package and after an adjustment of the rope length completed seven flawless high rep sets. Have a pvc rope, and it is fine but a little too slow. Bought a name brand speed rope that has a very thin plastic covered stranded steel cable, but when using it I could not see or feel the rope because it was so thin and light. Not being able to see or feel the cable rope is a huge detriment-for me anyway-because your brain uses these two senses to adjust your jumping rhythm. Never was able to obtain uninterrupted high rep sets with the thin cable rope. Saw that this rope in the product video has a plastic coated cable which is significantly thicker than the speed rope I purchased, so I bought it. This cable rope has the thickness I was looking for, I can see it and feel it while jumping which makes all the difference for a continuously good, flawless workout. It seems to have excellent quality materials and a good build, and the bearings rotate smoothly. Also, it is a very nice looking jump rope. As far as product longevity is concerned, only time will tell. The price is absolutely outstanding for what you get. Anyway, that’s my opinion for what it’s worth 🙂

Great beginner’s jump rope
The weight of this jump rope is great for me as a beginner. It was pretty difficult to cut it down to size (I’m 5’3″, so just by shortening/rescrewing it there was a lot of excess that was getting in the way), but I did get it down to appropriate length after messing around with wire cutters and scissors to get through the internal woven metal. It’s a good sign in the long run though, indicating that when I start jumping outdoors on pavement in warmer weather it is less likely to cut/break on something sharp.It moves fluidly. The only other cons are that the “gold” colour is definitely orange, and the knurl (crosshatch pattern on handles similar to dumbbells/barbells for grip) is pretty shallow, so with sweaty hands it does slip around. A deeper knurl would allow the skin to catch better and maintain grip in longer sessions.Overall a good product for price, and would recommend this option to others looking for an intro rope.

Lightweight and Good for Crossfit
I bought this jump rope for CrossFit because I was tired of having to figure out which jump rope was the right length for me. This jump rope is lightweight and adjustable! With a little trial and error, I was able to adjust the length of the rope to my ideal length. The required tool (hex/Allen wrench) is not included. Also just note that the outer plastic covering of the rope does get scratched if you use it on concrete, so it’s best for indoor use.The only problem I’ve had is that the handles are very thin and require a tight grip, which can sometimes be painful when doing a lot of jumps.
