Actually helpful
This is a really nice planner/journal in one place. I have combination type ADHD and have been notoriously terrible at consistent journaling all my life. As such, I did not write many consistent entries in this planner. But that’s my experience. Do not let it deter you from acquiring one to try it, yourself.I found that the questions did help me reflect on what I was thinking/feeling each day. There are large spaces to record your thoughts/feelings/reflections and those were the most useful to me, as I was able to express myself and create lists based on my own reflections to prioritize important dates and what I could do to manage the stressful activities that I was trying to juggle. Some of the questions didn’t really vibe with me, personally, so I simply made up my own based on necessity. Journaling does not have to follow the rules, I’m still learning. But having prompts written in front of me that help me to gather my thoughts and needs definitely provided clarity for task priority. While I wasn’t consistent in using this, the interface/layout of the pages allow for inconsistency. Journaling also does not have to be everyday, I’m working toward accepting. The pages are good quality. The cover is really nice and I love the texture. The pages turn easily over the spiral spine. So the manufacturing is solid. It’s not a book that can be bent out of shape easily—a must for people who would want to put it in their bag to take with them somewhere.I think that I will continue to use it when I remember to, and maybe even more often, as a place to record and collect my thoughts.
Me –
I have used a trillion of these, but this one is…different.
I picked this up for my 13yo daughter who, like me, has pretty wicked ADHD. It’s pretty standard for doctors to recomend getting a journal/planner to use as a tool in managing your ADD/ADHD. We were having some issues finding the ‘right’ planner for my daughter though. She does not want anyone to know she is ADHD, and I totally understand that, but she is a very picky, fussy teen girl, who needs everything to be just right. Unlike some of the other books we have tried, she KNEW she wanted this one from the minute she saw the product photos. Would this actually be THE ONE?Thankfully, this arrived super quick. It was sealed in a celophane bag, completely free from damage or any dirtiness. Around the book was an adorable, branded sleeve with a photo on the front that my daughter ended up cutting out and taping inside of the book. She said she ‘understood’ the photo and as someone with ADHD, I did too. It was pretty clear from that point on that whoever designed this has experience with these issues- no doupt about it.The generous sized spiral notebook is simple, chic and feminine from the outside, with the cover mentioning the brand name and Daily Planner afterwards. No advertisements of the diagnosis, just classy and clean. The front and back cover are made of thicker cardboard, that is solid/studry enough to lean on but still has a little bit if give/flexibility. It is covered in a really beautiful, soft material that is easy to wipe clean, but can also be doodled on with pen, gel pen or marker. I’ll note that the pink material wraps around the front and back cover, is carefully cut and folded on the insides then covered with one of the pages from the book. There’s more awesome, retro, mixed up art on those pages, as well as some quotes and tips. It’s a bit ironic that a book for ADHD didn’t overlook a single detail regarding quality. The first page is loaded with tips on how to utilize the planner as well as other helpful tools to help you manage your brain and get through the day. I don’t want to give away a huge suprise, but I’m all about honesty, so consider this a spoiler alert…There is a QR code on the first page that takes you to a free guided audio meditation sesh focusing on daily focus. I thought that was pretty awesome, and quite helpful. The pages themselves are pretty awesome! The 8.5″ x 11.75″ pages are nice and thick- but not like construction paper thick rather a nice weight paper. It takes pencil well, but also is a phenomenal surface to write on with pen (omg! SO smooth!), gels, felt tips or markers. Thanks to the weight of the paper, there is no bleed through- even with a juicy marker. The content on the pages is (again) SO VERY CLEARLY organized and curated by someone with experience with ADD/ADHD. You have space for the date, your own daily affirmation, blocks for AM and PM goal setting, check-ins, and plenty of space to write your big ideas and daily doodles. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the middle column, which gives you space to record your emotions, actions and other opportunities to just take a quick look inward and set some easy, short term goals. The book is excellent for staying on track AND releasing some stress. It is perfect to look back on and move forward with too. It has been a tremendous help for my teenager, and something she isn’t self conscious of carrying or using. I was so impressed, I ordered one for myself too. This IS the tool you will want/need if you are dealing with scattered thoughts, too much on your plate, procrastination, and the laundry list of things that go though our minds at every second.I want to make something very clear-I rely heavily on reviews myself before spending my hard earned coins. I’ve learned two things from that-1. Not everyone is honest. 2. My standards seem higher than most. I say that last part because I have ordered things that had one rave review after another, only to purchase the product and be totally disappointed because I thought it was trash.I take my responsibility as a Viner seriously. I have a unique opportunity to assist other customers in making the right decisions for them. My goal here is to give you every single detail- big or small, good or bad, where if you do decide to purchse, you will know exactly what to expect- no suprises. That being said, I am not owned or indepted to any person or company and have the freedom to be completely HONEST. I’m not an influencer, so I’m not trying to sell you anything to make money and I’m in no way affiliated with this company.I AM excited about this planner thought. I’ve been through a zillion of these, and now with my daughter being diagnosed too, I’m doing it all over again.None have even come close to this one- and not just in quality, but content too. This isn’t the typical, serious, super structured and regimented planner that makes you feel even worse when you don’t get something done. It’s serious, and (very) helpful- don’t get me wrong, but it also doesn’t take itself too seriously. It gives us the freedom and opportunity for our brains to do what they do best (wander and create), while still keeping us on track.Whoever made this (within One.Focus), like- the perfect responsible for putting the content on the pages- THANK YOU!

One Focus Notepad Daily Desk Planner
I was excited to try this planner for work as someone who struggles with what this product is marketed for.The planner is beautiful and appears very high quality. I did find that some of the writing in the first page was awkwardly written but maybe it was just me.The biggest reason I took 2 stars off is because it’s a bit too rigid. What I mean by that is, I work in a very dynamic environment where I have to multitask multiple priorities in a day. This makes it impossible to just accomplish only one single task.Could this be useful for home or school? probably, but that wasn’t my intended purpose. So while the idea is great and it probably would work for others, it didn’t work for what I needed in my job.

A Powerful and Beautiful Tool for the ADHD Mind
I love this journal so much! It’s so beautiful and good quality and very thoughtfully designed. The pages are spacious and the paper feels luxurious. My favorite thing is the included guided meditation that comes free with this journal — I have it saved to my phone and it’s been so helpful. When I’m pressed for time, I sometimes just do the meditation and skip the written journaling. I find that it makes such a huge difference to have a gentle guided routine for identifying the most important thing I need to do on a given day!
